Description
First one built. APROXIMATELY 375 HP, FORD V8 engine, 4-speed and top speed of 180 MPH. Although this car never completed a race at Le Mans, it did win at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1964 with drivers MacDonald and Holbert. This car convinced Ford to back Shelby’s Cobra and Daytona Race teams. CSX2287 was also the car used by Craig Breedlove to set over 25 USAC/FIA speed records at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Lost for 30 years and eventually found and bought by the Simeone Museum for $4M.Category
